Just south of Roßleithen, about 20 minutes walk from the scythe factory, springs the Pießling in one of the largest karst springs in the Eastern Alps - the Pießling torrent!
The Pießling-Ursprung natural monument can be admired from the viewing platform.
In summer, an average of 2,000 liters of water per second flow from the siphon cave. During the snow melt or after storms, there are even 7,000 liters and more. The Pießling origin could thus meet the daily water needs of 700,000 people.
