Visit the largest monastery library in the world, a late Baroque total work of art.
A surprising experience is also the variety and freshness of the contrasting offerings in the Admont Abbey Museum.
Under one roof, you'll find art from the Middle Ages to the present, the Natural History Museum, the Art History Museum, the Gothic Museum, and the Contemporary Art Museum, as well as changing special exhibitions.

The cheapest way to arrive by car is via the Pyhrnautobahn A9, exit Ardning and then on the federal highway B146 for around 10 km to Admont. You can reach us from the north-east via Amstetten, Weyer and St. Gallen. From the east you can choose the route via Eisenerz and the Gesäuse. From the south you can also travel via the romantic Kaiserau mountain road.
Train or bus travelers can reach us from the west via the Liezen junction and from the east via Hieflau. The Admont train station is only a few minutes' walk from Admont Abbey, but only has limited service on weekends.
Single Ticket
Day visitors can book the tour of the world’s largest monastery library (duration approx. 40 min, language German) for € 3.00 (excl. admission) per person as an add-on. All listed admission prices exclude the library tour.
The library and all other museum areas can of course also be visited without a guided tour.
Audioguides are available in several languages. Loan fee € 4.00 – available at the cash register.
Library tours take place at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
Unfortunately, reservation of single tickets is not possible!
