The Stummermühle is the last remaining farm mill with two water wheels and two grinding gears in the Pyhrn-Priel region.

It is located in Roßleithen above the scythe factory on the romantic path to the source of the Pießling. The mill was painstakingly restored in 1997 and is open to visitors at certain times.

Arrival Information:

Private: A9 - Exit Roßleithen, then B138 about 300 m towards Windischgarsten, turn right towards Roßleithen, about 5 km

Public: Take the Riedler bus (line 431) to the Roßleithen Ort stop - walking time about 20 minutes.

Opening hours:

June to the end of September every Monday from 10 AM to 12 PM
No registration required.

Guided tours at a different time for groups of 10 or more available by arrangement for a fee.

Hint / Advice: After visiting the mill, you can continue to hike to the impressive natural spectacle of Pießling-Ursprung (about 20 min.). It is the largest karst spring in Upper Austria – an entire stream springs from a vertical rock face.
