Hinterstoder cross-country ski trails
The Hinterstoder cross-country ski trail stretches picturesquely from the village along the Steyr to the end of the valley at Baumschlagerreith. It leads past the Polsterlucke and the Dietlgut and offers an excellently groomed trail in high alpine surroundings. With only slight inclines, it is a true dream destination for cross-country skiing enthusiasts.
The trails in the valley are characterised by the breathtaking landscape of the Stodertal and the view of the mountain peaks of the Totes Gebirge, a varied route across snow-covered meadows, through forests, along rivers and countless entry points along the route. The cross-country ski trail is two-lane throughout - so you can also enjoy the view without the inconvenience of getting out of your lane in oncoming traffic.
FAQ / good to know:
- DOGS: are not allowed on the trail!
- Ski Bus: Cross-country skiers may use the ski bus for free!
- TRACKS of the trail: The trail will be groomed when there is sufficient snow, meaning there must be enough snow AND the ground must be suitable so that the heavy grooming equipment does not cause damage to the terrain.

Private: From Windischgarsten via Vorderstoder to Hinterstoder, town center A9 - exit Hinterstoder/St. Pancreas. From Kirchdorf on the B138 in the direction of Windischgarsten, Hinterstoder junction
Public: Take bus line 432 or 434 to the Freizeitpark stop - walking time approx. 2 minutes.
