One of the best mountaineers in the world "Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner" grew up in Spital am Pyhrn and discovered her love for the mountains here. The museum "World of 8000m" shows milestones in extreme mountaineering in exciting films, on touchscreen monitors, in listening stations and with the help of equipment.

With the quiz booklet in German "Mit Wissen zum Gipfel", the young guests explore questions such as: What are the names of the highest mountains in the world? What must not be missing in an expedition rucksack? What dangers and risks are associated with the ascent and descent?
